Nathan Denton's Music
My songs are inspired by rock, country, blues, folk, jazz and gospel influences,
as well as my own adventures and the stories of fellow travelers. I hope you enjoy the tunes.

About the Musicians
Gary Strater, now deceased, did the bass part for track #2. A member of rock band Starcastle, he was truly
a great musician and a wonderful person, missed by many. Gary, also a guru at the console, helped mix “Parole Song”
and shared some cool recording techniques with me.
Adam Benner (drummer) and I started recording and touring together in the late 90s. In addition to his drumming skills,
he is a good and loyal friend. He lives in sunny Florida now, but was righteous enough to fly to Illinois in the frigid
cold last winter for a grueling recording session. Adam did the drums on tracks 1, 2 & 3.
Quote from Adam:
“My biggest influences growing up were Alice Cooper, the Stones, John Lennon, many punk & new wave bands, and later good
ole county. My style comes from many sources. I just love to play. There's nothing like the magic of music.”
Phil Buoy did the harmonica tracks on “Ill Fly Away” (#3). He’s a bluesman that plays from the heart.
Christian DiBiase , Paul Ovnik and Ron Rydin are all Chicago boys who delivered good performances while we were recording
and playing the Chicago club scene. On track #3 (Wandering Man Blues), Dibi played bass, Paul played drums and Ron added
some nice electric rhythm guitar texture. Paul also did the drums on track #5.
Nathan Denton did the vocals and guitars on all the tracks, played bass on tracks 1 & 3, and wrote all the songs except track #3.
